Tyler Paape, Director of Catering and Special Events
Tyler joined The Westin Edina Galleria Sales team in March of 2013, where he was the Special Events Catering Manager. During his first two years, he grew the niche of luxury special events market to what it is today at the hotel. Not only has he generated $2M in production, he has literally been the “face” for the wedding market in Minneapolis/St. Paul. Most recently, you may have seen him live on air with FOX and WCCO morning news shows where he promoted the hotel and current wedding trends.
Tyler holds a degree in hotel, restaurant, and tourism management from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. He also gained international experience studying food and wine in Spain, while developing a three course menu at the University of Balearic Islands, Palma on the Island of Majorca.
He is passionate about food, wine, travel and entertaining family and friends in his condo. Tyler is proud to have served on the Board of Directors of the National Association for Catering and Events. He is currently an active participant in Leadership Twin Cities Group which examines critical issues facing the community.
